What does the iGame X870E Ultra-S V14 offer for memory and overclocking?

Colorful recently showed off the board hitting 6600 MT/s with a massive 192 GB DDR5 memory kit, and did it at a tight CL28 timing — an impressive result for that much memory capacity. The company credits the feat to the excellent memory controller on the Ryzen 7 9850X3D paired with the motherboard’s design. Officially, the iGame X870E Ultra-S V14 supports DDR5-8400+ MT/s across four DIMM slots. CPU overclocking gets strong support too, thanks to a 16+2+1 power-phase VRM, an 8-layer low-loss PCB, a dedicated clock generator, FCC ferrite inductors, and 10K black-gold solid capacitors.

Storage, connectivity, and pricing details

For storage, the board includes 5 M.2 SSD slots and 4 SATA III ports, with M.2 slots using a quick-release mechanism for easier installs — the same tool-free system used for GPU installation. On the connectivity side, Colorful has equipped the board with WiFi 7, 5 GbE LAN, and dual Type-C ports running at 40 Gbps. Onboard extras include an Error Code reader, Debug LEDs, Power and Reset buttons, plus BIOS Update and Clear CMOS buttons at the rear I/O.

The board is listed on China’s JD.com retail site for 1,899 Yen, which works out to roughly $283 at current exchange rates. Official launch is expected ahead of November 11, timed to China’s Singles’ Day shopping event, though it’s already available for pre-order. For context on how component pricing has been shifting lately, Nvidia Details Groq 3 LPX Architecture and First Third-Party Benchmarks covered a similar trend in a different corner of the hardware market, and the pattern of price increases creeping into once-affordable categories is also visible in Samsung Galaxy S26 FE vs S25 FE: Explaining the $50 Price Increase.
