NextByte aims to publish accurate, useful and fair technology coverage. This page explains how we do that.

Sources

Our news articles are based on official announcements, company statements, court and government documents, security advisories, and reporting from established publications. We credit and link to the original source in every article that relies on another outlet’s reporting.

Use of AI tools

We may use AI tools to help with research, drafting and illustrations. Every article is reviewed by an editor before publication, and featured images that are AI-generated are illustrations, not photographs of real events.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it as quickly as possible and, for significant errors, note the correction at the end of the article. To report an error, please use our Contact page.

Independence

Advertising on NextByte does not influence our coverage. We do not accept payment for positive coverage. If an article contains affiliate links or sponsored content, we will say so clearly.
