NVIDIA Launches DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction for RTX Remix and New Titles
NVIDIA has officially launched DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, a new technology that delivers significantly improved visual quality through second-generation Transformer models. The feature is now available across a growing library of games and is being integrated into RTX Remix, enabling modders and developers to enhance both new and classic titles with advanced lighting accuracy.
New Games and Upcoming Support
Two major titles are receiving DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction support at Gamescom 2026. 007: First Light will get the update on 15th September, while Control Resonant will follow on 24th September, both gaining full Ray Reconstruction and Path Tracing capabilities. Testing of the technology shows a sharp rise in overall image quality, with lighting and light source responsiveness delivering instantaneous results across various games.

RTX Remix Expansion and Remastered Classics
RTX Remix continues its rapid growth, with almost 250 titles in the pipeline as of Gamescom 2026, including upcoming projects like Turok, Prototype, and Fallout 4. The platform now integrates DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction alongside compatibility tools such as InstaMAT2Remix for procedural asset generation and PCSX2 Remix for Path Tracing PS2 games.
Two remastered titles showcase the technology’s potential. Painkiller RTX, developed by Merry Pencil Studios, features 15 remastered levels with full path tracing, advanced particle VFX, RTX Volumetrics, RTX Neural Radiance Cache, and RTX IO—all accelerated by DLSS 4.5. A demo launches 25th August, with the free mod available on GOG for original Painkiller owners. The Elder Scrolls III: Oblivion RTX is also coming soon, remastering three locations (Seyda Neen, Mages Guild, and Balmora) with full path tracing and DLSS 4.5 enhancements by modder GokuwasHere.
DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction opens new possibilities for gamers seeking enhanced visuals in both contemporary releases and beloved classics, breathing new life into older titles through community-driven modding.
