Apple is paying $250 million to settle claims that it failed to deliver an AI-upgraded Siri, and now eligible iPhone owners in the US can submit a claim for a payout. If you purchased an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model between June 10th, 2024, and March 29th, 2025, you can file a claim on the settlement’s website before the December 21st, 2026 deadline.

How to claim your payout from the Siri AI lawsuit settlement

To file a claim, you’ll need to enter your name, contact information, and iPhone serial number on the settlement’s website. You can receive an estimated $25 per eligible device, but the settlement’s website notes that this amount can increase to $95 depending on how many people file claims. The exact payout will be determined once all claims are processed.

The class action lawsuit alleged that Apple created a “clear and reasonable consumer expectation” that new AI features previewed during WWDC 2024 would launch alongside the iPhone 16. Instead, the iPhone 16 launched with a more limited set of capabilities despite being labeled as “built for Apple Intelligence.” This follows the broader pattern of device launches that Samsung Galaxy S26 FE vs S25 FE: Explaining the $50 Price Increase examined earlier this year.

The company later delayed the rollout of its AI-upgraded Siri, which only just arrived with iOS 27 earlier this month. Apple has denied any wrongdoing in the matter. In a related development, Motorola Previews Android 15 Update and New Themed Icons showed how manufacturers continue to refine their software rollout strategies moving forward.

If you believe you’re eligible for the Siri AI lawsuit settlement, make sure to submit your claim before the December 21st, 2026 deadline to secure your payout.
