What does the Galaxy Tab S12+ deal actually include?
The display itself is a standout: it runs up to 120Hz and reaches 1,600 nits of peak brightness, so it stays readable even outdoors. Despite its large footprint, the tablet is just 5.3mm thick and weighs about 1.2 pounds. Inside is a Dimensity 9500 chip built on TSMC’s 3nm process, paired with 12GB of RAM, which should handle heavy multitasking while an upgraded vapor chamber keeps things cool under sustained loads.
The S Pen ships in the box, a nice touch considering many rivals charge extra for their stylus. It works well in creative apps like Adobe Photoshop and note-taking apps such as Notability and Samsung Notes, where Note Assist can summarize long notes in seconds. Battery life is another strong point: the 10,600mAh cell is rated for up to 21 hours of video playback, about five hours longer than the Galaxy Tab S10+.
Is the Galaxy Tab S12+ deal good for productivity?
Samsung’s optional Pro Keyboard turns the tablet into a laptop alternative, with an aluminum chassis, 1.0mm of key travel, a large trackpad, and a dedicated Galaxy AI Key. Combined with Samsung DeX, it enables resizable windows and desktop-style multitasking, and the tablet can also serve as a wireless second screen for a PC. Other hardware highlights include a 13MP rear camera, a 12MP ultrawide front camera, Wi-Fi 6E, microSD support up to 2TB, four speakers with spatial sound, and an IP68 rating with Armor Aluminum protection. Samsung is also promising up to seven OS upgrades, a detail that echoes the kind of long-term software support discussed when Samsung Galaxy S26 FE vs S25 FE: Explaining the $50 Price Increase looked at pricing across Samsung’s lineup.
One catch: the 45W charger is sold separately, so buyers should factor that into the total cost. For shoppers comparing ecosystems, it’s also worth noting how other Android makers are handling software updates, a topic Motorola Previews Android 15 Update and New Themed Icons touched on recently. Whether this Galaxy Tab S12+ deal beats the M5 iPad Pro ultimately comes down to whether buyers value the S Pen, DeX multitasking, and battery life over Apple’s software polish.
